Where to find linen cloth in world of warcraft
Comment by Allakhazam isn't there a place to buy em? Comment by Allakhazam It's not a lot of silver but it bought me all my greens until I could get wool cloth to buy blues. Do the rest of it and it'd be surprising if you didn't exit RFC with about Linen. Pretty soul crushing though. Comment by Allakhazam The best place is in my opinion the area around Jangolode mine in Westfall. Those trappers and smugglers drop linen without end.
In Mulgore Taurean , try the Venture Co. In Tristfal Glades Undead , there's humans at Silliden Farmstead and the nearby tower to the west near Deathknell starting area and the tower near the Sewers exit to Undercity. The Riverpaw gnolls are fighting Alliance not the best place for lower Hordies Got a couple of stacks of linen cloth and a couple of greenies in about 5 - 10 mins on an 85 blood dk. Good luck all! Comment by Corq In westfall, to the east of moonbrook, there is a camp of gnolls. If you stand in the right spot, you can one shot gnolls and another appears instantly in the same spot the last one respawned. I will put up a video of this. I farmed about linen cloth in a few minutes, and i stayed in one spot the whole time.
You will kill one gnoll literally every second. Comment by Scythix As of 5. However now with AoE looting I was able to get over linen cloth in 10 minutes and thats with taking time to sell items on the tundra mammoth which slowed me down a bit. Comment by genius13 If you're in Tirisfal Glades and you want some quick linen cloth, based on my experience of about ten minutes ago, the best answer is to go somewhere else.
Horrible drop rates, small numbers of mobs mostly spread out, and nothing respawns with any alacrity whatever. Comment by Another good place is the gnoll caves in Ghostlands. Was pulling in around an hour on my mage at level Comment by Yes Sentinel Hill is good for alliance. You can get stacks of linen in one deadmines run. If you're Horde, RFC is usually pretty good for linen too.
The quillboar in Northern Barrens also drop it pretty frequently and they respawn pretty quickly. Comment by Sentinel Hill in Westfall is definitely the best place to grind for alliance players.
The respawn timer of the gnolls there is insanely short. Got 6 stacks in less than 10 minutes as a lvl 40 hunter bad AoE. That's even faster than The Deadmines. They are mainly used for Tailoring purposes, though LC may also benefit other crafting professions, in order to level them up.
I like killing and looting them in a group. After I did a bunch of traveling to find the perfect spots, I did some five-minute killing sprees in each location of the zones below and totaled all of it. Westfall - Totaled LC. Redridge Mountains — Totaled LC. Northern Barrens — Totaled 62 LC.
Ragefire Chasm — Totaled 34 LC. Never put LC as single stacks on the AH, unless all you have is one. It only serves to aggravate people, and despite the fact that all your items may be cheap, people will more than likely skip them and move onto a larger stack size. Also remember to not flood the market. Example of gold acquired. Comment by Breakbot Sentinel Hill is just ridiculous as a mage, I just kept using Arcane Explosion for about 10 minutes running around. Got cloths. Comment by Delileah I followed the advice and went after riverpaw gnolls..
I'm level 70 and just starting my first aid. The Defias people drop more of it and they respawn way quicker. I'd kill like 8 of them and start to go to search and 10 more replaced them..
So I recommend going just to sentinel hill and killing what everyone is already fighting. Comment by ZiaGaming Wetlands, 67, There are three groups fighting each other, dragonmaw whelpstealers vs ebon slavehunters. These 3 groups are one in the middle of the road, and one on each side.
The respawn rate is ridiculous! Perfect place for linen cloth, wool cloth, silk cloth, and if you're a skinner, theres plenty of leather for you to pick up here as well. As as added bonus, you have a chance to pick up yourself a Tiny Crimson Whelpling! I farmed here for 2 hours.
Picked up wool cloth, linen cloth, silk cloth, a handful of boe blues, too many greens to count, and a whelpling. ZERO downtime! A yak or tundra comes in handy for this spot. You're gonna need to vendor every 5 minutes or so, even with huge bags.
Happy farming! Comment by I'd recomend the mini shipyard in jerod's landing in elwyn forest, especially if your level 15 and up,killing the dockmaster and its bodyguards will be easy and almost always wield around linen cloths, the dockmaster only takes bout 10 secs to respawn, and after that you can repeat and get more linen cloths.
I bought 34 stacks of Linen cloth for 2g each. I made heavy linen gloves with my lvl 10 alt tailor. I disenchanted everything into strange dusts and lesser magic essences.
One stack of strange dust is 40g on my server. That's over g profit for almost 0 amount of work. Good luck to anyone listening to this advice. Go to Redridge Canyons, just the road north of Lakeshire. Kill Redridge Basher to gain Linen Coth. Good luck with farming. Comment by Morguean So I recently picked up tailoring on my monk, mostly to earn money from doing something i already do farming old content for cloth.
I found an extremely good place for Linen Cloth. In a matter of 30 minutes I had pieces of linen cloth I also found that there does seem to be a very real limit on how much loot you can loot at once. I am using Xloot because I like a tidier loot frame , but after this run it may be re-think using blizzards, my loot frame became so huge I couldn't see everything at all.
Which exposed either an issue of the add-on, or a limitation on the auto loot everything feature. There seemed to be a limit on the amount of mobs that could be in a single set of looting not just how far away, but an actual count. I had to run around like a madman looting after a while, to make sure I got all my cloth and money. Now what I did was something I've done for years when I'm just farming cloth: I bought a couple of stacks of linen cloth 3 off the AH, then split those down and put a single piece of cloth in every single free spot in my bags i use a bag add-on too, so it all looks like a single bag.
This allowed me to just farm mindlessly. Even had this area not existed which I'm pretty darn sure blizz knows about I would have farmed instances in this manner. So, if I can assist in a small way I'm all for it.
Each Southsea Cutthroat drops linen cloth. Comment by 3xploit I guess this is what Vanessa meant when she said that the gnolls created the distraction she needed. Everyone is grinding on them for linen! Comment by martanius One of best places to farm linen cloth is Deadmines normal Comment by Arugula Right now, for alliance, a good place to farm cloth for both high and low lvl, is in the main island in Crystal Lake right next to Goldshire.
You can kill off low-lvl Murlocs 10 at a time, especially if you have a DoT. They don't have the highest drop rate, but they do have a very short respawn rate, can be around 10 seconds. If you are judicious enough with your damage vs. I don't have any statistics, but I did this over a few days between battlegrounds and ended up with more than a stack of and many many clams. If you are over level 15 these guys will be gray for you, so no XP if that's important.
Later edit: about 20 minutes of this, sustained, yielded cloth and 65 clams and not enough cash to report on. Comment by brbcatsonfire There is a decent spot in southern Westfall, right around where Jango Spothide spawns. There is a camp right next to him where the npc respawn rate is almost instant after you kill Riverpaw Taskmasters and Mystics.
Pretty decent spot to grind a lvl or 2 for a low teens char and farm cloth. They do seem to drop a reasonable amount of greens and vendor junk as well. Comment by alex Sentinel hills broken walls remains best farming spot View in 3D Links. Quick Facts. This item can be purchased in Silvermoon City 2. Unfortunately, this place only works for Alliance players, or max level Horde players because this is an Alliance town, and there are a couple of high level Alliance NPCs there. If you have completed the final major quest line in Westfall, ending with Return to Sentinel Hill , you cannot farm these mobs.
They have fast respawn rate and the Worgens aren't that far away from each other. There are always at least 3 mobs alive and they are close to each other. Most will drop one to three Linen Cloth. If you are unable to farm at any of these places because you have done the quests, just go to my Wool Cloth farming guide.
