Can you take mres on a plane
Though the message is still a bit ambiguous, the response was swift and not written in horrible bureaucratic prose. Fine, and I understand. But why not extend the question a few feet downward into the cargo area? Not very bright. This post just might contain affiliate links. Hey, I have to keep this thing running somehow!
It did. Planning to travel with MREs? Let me know how it works out — and thanks for your comment! MRE Photo credit: Wikipedia. Table of Contents hide. Click to expand I don't know whether or not they'll allow you to have the MRE heater, but best be safe and not bring such. There are plenty of MREs out there which is just the normal food pack.
I've brought several food items on my person through the security checkpoints. A good time to bake your own food and place in a sealed container. My dad would get back from the field and we would take about 10 of those suckers a two liter bottle and some nails, glass throw on his flak jackets and have fun HOOAHHHH I think the heater is the issue, but like the package says as long as its still sealed you should be ok.
Just trying to do the math. In any case check it in with your checked bag. Don't carry it on. I sent them through the x-ray with no problem along with my carry on bag. The only concern they had was liquids.
I had a thermal mug as I approached the x-ray and was asked if it was empty and told them almost. I finished it as I emptied my pockets of change, keysand put my Surefire, mini maglight andclear vinyl shaving kit with my 3 ounce containers of shampoo and other liquidsin the provided bins for the x-ray conveyor.
I finished the coffee as everything passed into the x-ray machine, thenplaced the mug as instructed into a smaller bin that I was handed and placed it on the conveyor too. WheelGun Regular Member. Who would eat that crap unless it was the only stuff around? I just happened to know because I looked up the info on those before my trip in August.
It might be just a Canadian thing, I don't know. But I checked and double-checked rules on both carriers' sites for everything from those to matches to batteries. And of course camp stoves. Then I was going to take my shoes off for Canadian Security, and they looked at me as if I was nuts. Still not required up here Anyway, I got through everything just fine. But flying just ain't simple anymore Any idea if they will let us take the heat tabs within the MRE's in their checked baggage?
I would ask someone within the airline if I knew who to contact. It is not fun to contact an airline to ask a question. No one knows the answers to your questions. They printed my middle initial wrong on my ticket and couldn't correct, only note it by my name.
Will that get me on the plane with my passport? That is why I use a travel agent. Just not worth the hassles of things going wrong and not being able to contact the airline! It is worth the small service fee that travel agents charge.
You can check USAirways' website. I would guess that if it is not specifically prohibited that it is allowed since TSA obviously allows them. As MM said, it is specifically stated on NW's website about being allowed. I would take them over USAirways in a heartbeat but you might have booked before Continental became a part of Star Alliance last month.
I doubt you will have a problem with the middle initial. Having said that, a friend of mine was almost denied boarding for having her ticket say "Sandi" and her passport say "Sandra. They consider it a liquid. Actually it goes under the heading "liquid, paste, cream, gel
