Torchwood who is behind phicorp
Esther arrives in the nick of time and gets involved in a nasty fight with Colin, that involves scratching, biting and eye-gouging.
Poor wide-eyed Esther is eventually forced to choke Colin to… well, not death, but presumably something approaching it. Esther tries to grab the key for Rex's bonds from Colin, but in true horror movie fashion, he snaps back to life and begins to choke her. Luckily, ineffectual guard Ralph finally stands up for himself and shoots Colin not dead. Back in Welsh land, Rhys tries to steal a lorry, but is caught in the act. With her husband delayed, Gwen is forced to wheel her father out of the camp on a gurney, with help from a random cleaning lady.
Rhys arrives just in time and drives away with Gwen's father in tow, but Agent Cooper remains at the camp, installing her special Torchwood contact lenses to communicate with Jack. Setting the lenses to 'record' they can do that apparently , Gwen delivers a rousing speech and sets off a series of explosives at the Welsh camp. Let's just hope there weren't any innocent Category 1's in there, eh?
Gwen's message is distributed to every major news organisation, exposing the sinister camps and the death of Vera. Jack seems to think that's that, but the US government refuses to revoke its new policies. I tend to lean towards the latter. If money was the only motivation, it is a pretty poor plan. As we learned a couple of weeks ago, it is only a matter of time before basic human services breakdown, making money an outdated concept. But if PhiCorp did not cause the Miracle, who did?
Funny, I disagree with you on some of these points. I really think the season is going far too slow…the pace is crawling by and very little happens each episode. Do they really think they need to translate things to us? Or to the Brits? I adore Torchwood. Which is a good thing, IMHO. I can only imagine what a pain in the rump it is to craft a story when every time you tell one, it has to be told at a different length.
But there are also parts that are terrible or cheesy and I still have difficulty caring about either Rex Matheson or Esther Drummond. The factors that seem to have contributed most to a shaky season are the single story arc, multiple writers and extremely slow pace. Post a Comment. Rex Matheson theorised that this would increase their profit a thousand fold. They discovered a massive stockpile of drugs, leading them to believe the company had prior knowledge of Miracle Day. Jack said it was " bigger on the inside.
Owens had his own investigators trying to uncover the truth behind the Miracle, and how PhiCorp was being used in it, but the only investigator who had apparently learned anything chose to jump from a tall building after he discovered something that drove him to suicide.
